On the Behalf of ONCOLille, you are invited to take part in a 3 day course in Psycho-Neuro-Immunology (PNI) held by Pr Yori Gidron and organized on the 15th to 17th of January 2018 in the Institut Coeur -Poumons in Lille.
The course will be free but registration is mandatory.
In the course, you will learn basic introductory topics in immunology, stress and neuroimmunology, and then apply them to major diseases, as decribed below. People from psychology, biology, medicine, nursing and other domains are invited.
The Second French International Congress on CAR T CELLS will be held on the 17th of January 2018 in Lille and will welcome this year again the best worldwide experts in this domain.
This new and promising therapy shows an impressive development in blood malignacies but should also known quickly some applications in solid tumours .

ONCOLille will participate for the second year, to the Village des Sciences which will take place from the 5th to the 8th October 2017 in the Gare Saint Sauveur in Lille (square Jean Baptiste LEBAS).
The 5th and 6th October afternoons will be reserved for schools (12:00 to 18:00) but the saturday 7th and Sunday 8th will be open to all (13:00 to 19:00).
This year, the theme of the village is the “Trip”. In this thematic, ONCOLille scientists will present the migratory capacities of cancer cells which lead to creation of secondary tumours called Metastases.

Postdoctoral position available in the “Initiation of Epithelial Cancers” group at the Institut Pasteur de Lille
Applications are invited for a two-year postdoctoral position in the “Initiation of Epithelial Cancers” team headed by Corinne Abbadie at the Institut Pasteur de Lille, France (http://umr8161.cnrs.fr/equipe1/). The recruited scientist will work on the SENHEAL project which will be conducted in collaboration with the Mathias Chamaillard team at the Institut Pasteur de Lille (http://www.ciil.fr/research-teams/nods-like-receptors-in-infection-and-immunity/).
The objective of the SENHEAL project is to investigate the impact and regulation of intestinal epithelial cell senescence during gut wound healing. The role of proteins regulating DNA repair pathways will be specifically addressed. The project will require the implementation of several technologies including culture of primary cells, molecular biology, cell imaging and in vivo experiments in mice.
The applicants of any nationality must hold a PhD in an area related to the project and must have experience in the required techniques. Candidates are encouraged to submit a full detailed CV, a cover letter describing their motivation, and reference letters to email@example.com
Expected employment starting date: 2017-10-01.
ONCOLille is terribly sad to announce the passing away of Professor Christophe MARIETTE.
Dedicated to his patients, Professor MARIETTE was a great surgeon recognized by all his pairs. He was Head of Surgery at Lille CHRU, Professor of surgery and an internationally recognized researcher in the field of oesogastric cancer
At ONCOLille, the research field he coordinated in the last 5 years around the ‘Resistance to treatment ‘ was a flagship of our research programs.
His death is more than a great loss for us all. In his memory, ONCOLille will continue to support the research programs Christophe developed.
We will have a thought for his relatives.
The future Interdisciplinary Cancer Research Institute in Lille (IRICL) is opening 3 young PI positions for junior researchers with excellent scientific track record.
Systems biology, as the term indicates, is a biology-based interdisciplinary field of study that focuses on the relation and interactions within biological systems (communication of cells at tissue and organ level, metabolism, network of genes and proteins in healthy and pathological conditions). The aim of this call is to propose a functional model at the cellular, tissue or organism level in healthy or pathological situation. The proposed model will be confirmed through experimental approaches using tools from experimental biology to clinical observation.
It is organized by ITMO Cancer of the French National Alliance for Health and Life Sciences (Aviesan) in collaboration with INCa (French National Cancer Institute). Inserm is entrusted with the operational management of this funding call.
The general objective of this call for proposals is to support multidisciplinary upstream research (mathematics, physics, chemistry, computers, biology, etc.), in order to make progress towards modelling of complex processes or integrative biology, in the field of cancer. It must in particular allow the development of multidisciplinary integrated teams that interact with clinicians, anatomopathologists and biologists in the field of cancer.
