AVIESAN-INCa CALL FOR PROJECTS: Call_Systems_Biology_2017

AVIESAN-INCa Call for Research projects in the field of multidisciplinary approaches in modeling complex biological processes applied to cancer field (Systems biology)

Systems biology, as the term indicates, is a biology-based interdisciplinary field of study that focuses on the relation and interactions within biological systems (communication of cells at tissue and organ level, metabolism, network of genes and proteins in healthy and pathological conditions). The aim of this call is to propose a functional model at the cellular, tissue or organism level in healthy or pathological situation. The proposed model will be confirmed through experimental approaches using tools from experimental biology to clinical observation.
It is organized by ITMO Cancer of the French National Alliance for Health and Life Sciences (Aviesan) in collaboration with INCa (French National Cancer Institute). Inserm is entrusted with the operational management of this funding call.

The general objective of this call for proposals is to support multidisciplinary upstream research (mathematics, physics, chemistry, computers, biology, etc.), in order to make progress towards modelling of complex processes or integrative biology, in the field of cancer. It must in particular allow the development of multidisciplinary integrated teams that interact with clinicians, anatomopathologists and biologists in the field of cancer.

ONCOLILLE 2016 international Call for projects – deadline: 27th May 2016

This year, ONCOLille is funding a 100,000 euros project to promote international collaborations in cancer translational research in the Lille area.

The call for project will fund an ambitious international research project on a scientific question supported by ONCOLille research programs. This high value-added project will have to contribute to ONCOLille scientific excellence and visibility as well as attract new promising researchers in the Lille area.

The project must belong to the scientific themes developed within ONCOLille (tumor resistance to treatments, tumor dormancy, human and social sciences)

The project must:

  • Propose a translational research of high added-value with a short term impact on patient care in oncology
  • Propose a precise planning with clear objectives and deliverables (publications, patents…)
  • Reinforce high value collaborations (for example, by inviting a research from abroad or going abroad for trainings)
  • Attract new promising researchers in the Lille area

Schedule:

02 /03/2016: Publication of the call for projects
27 /05/2016 (midnight Fr): Deadline for project submission
